I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Certified Diabetes Educator specializing in diabetes, kidney and cardiovascular health, disease prevention, and women’s health through pregnancy and postpartum.
My work is rooted in a holistic, functional approach that is intentionally not extreme. Rather than relying on fad diets or rigid rules, I focus on helping you build balanced, blood sugar supportive meals using nutrient dense whole foods.
Gut health is central to my philosophy. I prioritize fiber rich plants, variety, mineral rich foods and fermented foods to nourish the microbiome and support digestion and immunity. I also believe that quality of food plays a critical role. I emphasize organic produce, wild caught seafood, pasture raised animal products, and sourcing locally whenever possible.
At the same time, true health extends beyond the plate. Fresh air and morning sun, movement, restorative sleep, reducing everyday environmental exposures, and having strong community support all create the foundation where nutrition works best.
My goal is simple. I want to help you keep eating the foods you love while making realistic, sustainable shifts that support long term health and make you feel your best.
Briana lives in New York City with her husband and two children. Outside of her practice, she enjoys exploring local health food stores, visiting farmers markets, cooking nourishing meals for her family, playing tennis, and consuming anything and everything self help.
